    Description

We sold this to the previous owner 40 years ago, and are now selling it again as part of his extensive collection of Indian Wars accoutrements.
The box is in overall excellent condition and was made by Gaylord in Chicopee Mass. It retains its full sheepskin lining sewn in just after the Civil War as the government was experimenting to find the best way to carry the new metallic cartridges.
