    Description

    These pieces of  hardware are original attachments from a Pattern 1892 Marine Spike Helmet. and/or the spike sun helmet of the same vintage.  The chin strap is leather lined, and measures 19 inches, including the adjustment rings.  There are two Marine side buttons, one  of which is missing its shin strap hook. (see photo).  Also included is the chinstrap hook, shield shaped, used to hold the chinstrap when not in use, and its backing plate.  Also included is a spike base, (there is no spike).  These parts are really hard to find, especially the leather lined chin strap.  If you have a Marine helmet that needs some parts, this will get you started.
