    Description

    This is a beautifully detailed original Model 1874 Indian War brassard that was worn on the sleeve by a farrier in the Cavalry.
    It is made of dark blue wool, with a bright yellow horseshoe with cut-outs and light blue accents.  This style brassard was worn until 1903.
    This rare brassard is in good condition.  There is one moth hole in the dark blue felt as shown in the photo.  Stitching is solid and strong.
    The brassard measures almost 11 inches by 5 inches.
