Description

You are bidding on a US Springfield 45-70 Trapdoor rod bayonet rifle stock.
The forearm has been spliced on at the middle band area.
The stock is walnut and is 47 ¼ inches in length.
There is a cartouche, SWP 1891 on the left side.
There is also a script P proof on the wrist.
The stock is not cracked but there are scratches and dents.
The stock has both band springs and both stock washers.
It has been refinished as some point in time.
NOTE – The stock is for the Rod Bayonet rifles and not the standard Trapdoor rifles.
