    Description

    This is an original Indian War period US Army Dress black helmet that is in good condition.  Under the sweat band there is the manfacturers name printed on it, Horstmann Bros.Co., Philadelphia along with the inspector's mark ????? Sackett, size L. The top inside ring is also marked Horstmann and the front of the helmet has an eagle and shield along with two crossed swords under the shield. The helmet is topped with a horse hair plume that looks orange in color.(some photos show yellow and orange colors-looks yellow with sun on it but I say it is all orange color).  Please check photographs for a complete inspection and email me with any questions. *** NO OVERSEAS SHIPMENTS AND SALES IN THE UNITED STATES ONLY****
